Foosball vs Pool Table: Which Creates Better Social Interaction?

Woodoo Stadium · foosball vs pool, social interaction, hotel, office

The question comes up in hotel design meetings and office fit-outs: foosball table or pool table?

Participation Rate

A pool table accommodates two to four players. Matches take 10-20 minutes. Spectators rarely join mid-game. A foosball table matches take 2-8 minutes. Spectators can rotate in immediately.

Space Requirements

A full-size pool table needs 4.5 by 4 metres including cue clearance. A foosball table needs approximately 2 by 1.5 metres. It fits in lobbies and terraces that a pool table cannot.

What Properties Report

Properties that install foosball tables consistently report increased dwell time and more spontaneous guest interaction.
